HUMA ABEDIN, THE WOMAN BEHIND MRS. HILLARY CLINTON SUCCESS

HUMA ABEDIN, THE WOMAN BEHIND MRS. HILLARY CLINTON SUCCESS

Huma Abedin, aged 39, is the longest ever –serving aide of Mrs. Hillary Clinton can be said to be the loyal shadow of Mrs. Hillary Clinton who is serving as her personal assistant for long period and she is now turning up a mighty campaign power center for Mrs. Hillary Clinton.

Abedin, started her career as in intern at her age 19 when Mrs. Hillary was the First Lady in the White House.  Her long association with Hillary demonstrates her loyalty, sincerity and devotion to her work.

When Mrs. Hillary Clinton flew from Boston to Washington in April 2016 in First Class, It was Abedin who accompanied Mrs. Clinton. In the front page photo Glamour magazine where Clinton appeared to promote her biography book “Hard Choices”, Abedin can be seen in the background of Mrs. Clinton.

Now, for the Presidential 2016 campaign, Abedin occupies a pivotal role for her boss and is now running the role of an independent surrogate for Mrs. Hillary Clinton. For example, in recent Mrs. Hillary’s tour to South Carolina, Abedin has participated two private meetings with South Carolina state legislators on behalf of her boss Mrs. Hillary.

Abedin met New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and had one-to-one meeting with him for 45 minutes as Hillary Clinton arrival for a meeting with him was delayed due to traffic.

The above incidents demonstrate the transformative shift for Abedin to President 2016 campaign power centre from that of loyal assistant.
Now, Abedin is being considered as number 3 on the Hillary’s electoral campaign trailing behind John Podesta, Campaign Chairman and Robby Mook, campaign manager for Mrs. Hillary.

Long-time Mrs Hillary’s aides like Maggie Williams, Cherry Mills and Philippe Reins are no more active now and they are not acting as part of the Mrs. Hillary’s  current’ campaign inner circle. Abedin is now elevated as the most senior member of Mrs. Hillary Clinton’s old guard. Now, Abedin is being regarded as strong, trusted, female adviser to Mrs. Hillary Clinton.

Phil Gordon, erstwhile Assistant Secretary of State commented Abedin as a family member as she worked with him at the state department.  Mrs Hillary Clinton has witnessed Abedin’s growth for the last two decades as two of them have of course spent more time with each other than with their family members.

In the volley of Mrs Hillary’s emails released by the State Department recently, Abedin’s omnipresent role arranging Mrs. Clinton’s life was obviously exposed – many top leaders like erstwhile Vice-President Al Gore, the late diplomat Richard Holbrooke, her husband Bill Clinton, and Sen. Chuck Schumer all first contacted Abedin to reach Mrs. Hillary Clinton.

As a personal assistant to Mrs. Hillary Clinton, Abedin looked after many necessities of Mrs Hillary such as scheduling Mrs. Hillary’s medial and hair appointments, well-known about Mrs Hillary Clinton’s physical therapy instructions, updating Mrs. Hillary about her daily briefing and enjoyed full access to Mrs. Hillary both at work and at home.

In one of the e-mails, Mrs. Hillary Clinton wrote to Abedin,” just knock at my bedroom if it is locked” especially when she was taking rest at home.

Abedin is not hesitant to air her views on foreign policy.  Abedin wrote to Mrs Hillary in 2009 after King Abdullah of Jordan named Prince Hussein, as the Crown Prince stating that “I personally believe this demonstrates confidence in King Abdullah’s confidence in his position thereby not worrying about an outcry from his father’s loyalists.

As per Tom Nides, a deputy secretary of state under Hillary Clinton reign, Abedin remains as a trusted advisor, she could have earned a lot of money if she has left Mrs Hillary but strongly believes in Hillary Clinton. In this backdrop, Abedin’s influence attained a peak in 2016 campaign for Mrs. Hillary.
