How to Defeat Donald J. Trump? is the hot issue being discussed by Hillary Clinton and her Team

How to Defeat Donald J. Trump? is the hot issue being discussed by Hillary Clinton and her Team
Courtesy - AMY CHOZICK and PATRICK HEALY- www.nytimes.com
In the days after Donald J. Trump vanquished his Republican rivals in South Carolina and Nevada, prominent Democrats supporting Hillary Clinton are seriously considering the plan how to defeat Mr. Donald Trump?
Several Democrats argued that Mrs. Clinton, should she be her party’s nominee, would easily beat Mr. Trump. They were confident that his incendiary remarks about immigrants, women and Muslims would make Trump unacceptable to many Americans. They had faith that the growing electoral power of black, Hispanic and female voters would deliver a Clinton landslide if he were the Republican nominee.
Hillary team would portray Mr. Trump as a misogynist and an enemy to the working class whose brash temper would put the nation and the world in grave danger.

President Obama has told allies he would gleefully portray Mr. Trump as incapable of handling the duties of the Oval Office.
Mr. Trump as a wily, determined and indefatigable opponent who seems to be speaking to broad economic anxieties among Americans and to the widely held belief that traditional politicians are incapable of addressing those problems.
Against Bigotry’
The greatest weapon against Mr. Trump, the Clintons believe, is his tendency to make outrageous, even hateful comments that can come across as unpresidential. During the most recent Republican debate on Thursday, Mr. Trump traded schoolyard taunts with his rivals and threatened to build an even bigger wall on the Mexican border because he did not like a rebuke of his original wall proposal by a former president of Mexico.

Strategy for Overcoming Trump
The plan has three major thrusts: Portray Mr. Trump as a heartless businessman who has worked against the interests of the working-class voters he now appeals to; broadcast the degrading comments he has made against women in order to sway suburban women, who have been reluctant to support Mrs. Clinton; and highlight his brash, explosive temper to show he is unsuited to be commander in chief.

Hillary Clinton is the president we need to keep America moving forward

We’ve made tremendous progress under President Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton is the president we need to keep America moving forward
Logan Heiman
8 years ago, I was not old enough to vote, but I was a high school student with a voracious appetite for politics and a deep love for the democratic process in the United States. I’ll never forget how excited I was when the vice principal of my high school allowed me to take not one but two afternoons off from school to see Michelle Obama and then-Senator Barack Obama speak in my hometown of Beaumont, Texas.

I remember sitting in my grandmother’s living room hugging her so tightly with tears streaming down my face when NBC News anchor Brian Williams announced that Barack Obama would be our 44th President of the United States. I’ll never forget President-elect Obama proclaiming, “Change has come to America.
In the last seven years, America has changed profoundly for the better because of President Barack Obama. When President Obama took office in January 2009, America was losing 800,000 jobs a month. In the last 70 months, businesses have created over 14 million new jobs. When President Obama took office, over 40 million Americans were living without health insurance, just one illness away from disaster. Now, 17 million Americans have the coverage they need thanks to the Affordable Care Act.

That’s just the beginning of the progress we’ve made. Under President Obama, America has come much closer to being a place that extends opportunity not just to a select few but to people like me. President Obama, in his words and his actions, has consistently sent the message that LGBTQ people, immigrants, African-Americans, Hispanics and Latinos, Asian-Americans, women, and other traditionally marginalized people have a stake in this country and that we deserve a place at the table.
I could not be more proud to say that my very first vote was cast for President Obama on November 6, 2012.
I’m proud of the work he’s done to bring America closer to living up to its promise as an inclusive society where everyone has the chance to live up to her or his potential.
One year from today, President Obama will end his term in office. This November, we will vote for the 45th President of the United States. I want that president to protect the progress President Obama has made in the last seven years. I believe that president needs to be Hillary Clinton.

I believe Hillary Clinton will be the fighter and the champion Americans need to continue building a society that’s based on inclusiveness. Too many Americans are struggling because their pay checks aren’t growing along with the economy. Hillary Clinton has a plan to raise wages by encouraging profit-sharing, enacting paid leave, and raising the minimum wage.
She’ll also offer solutions to problems that don’t make the headlines but have tremendous impact on regular Americans like the lead-poisoning crisis in Flint, Michigan and the opioid epidemic that is ravaging the lives of Americans of all backgrounds. She will do what it takes to end the era of mass incarceration that disproportionately hurts African-Americans. She has proven over and over again a willingness to listen to the problems of Americans and then to craft specific and comprehensive plans to address them.
Republicans are fighting with everything they have to ensure that minorities are prevented from exercising their constitutional right to vote. They don’t even acknowledge the epidemic of police violence that has taken the lives of far too many, particularly minorities, in this country. Republicans are fighting tooth and nail to strip back marriage equality which is the law of the land. They are doing everything they can to keep women from making their own choices about their own health and bodies. Republicans are giving their all to ensure corporations and the most well-off in society get to write their own rules while the middle and working classes struggle without the same breaks that Republicans want for America’s wealthiest. Worst of all, Republicans have tried over fifty times to repeal Obamacare.
That’s not the country I want to see and I believe Hillary Clinton has the strength and experience that comes from fending off 25 years of vicious partisan attacks against her by the Republicans. Her 11 hours of testimony before the Benghazi committee last fall demonstrate that she can give as good as she takes.
We live in a time of divided government and that’s not likely to change with the next president. Hillary Clinton has the experience to forge consensus on solutions to America’s most pressing problems that comes from 8 years as First Lady and 8 years as Senator from New York. When cooperation isn’t forthcoming from the Congress — they’ve become pretty good at the withholding part — Hillary Clinton will have the creativity and knowledge necessary to use the powers of the Executive branch to make necessary progress just as President Obama has done the last six years
Hillary Clinton will bring not only experience and resilience to the Oval Office but also compassion for the most vulnerable in society and an abiding faith in this country. I am one of the 8 million kids who received health insurance from the SCHIP program Hillary Clinton championed and helped pass in the Congress when she was First Lady. And, when she was Secretary of State, I had the chance to see her speak at an HBCU Foreign Policy Briefing at the State Department which deepened my passion for the study and practice of international affairs and encouraged me to gain my own international experience which I did studying for a year in college in Istanbul, Turkey.
I believe Hillary Clinton will secure and build on President Obama’s legacy at home and abroad. She will have the experience needed to protect America from threats like ISIS without engaging us in needless and destructive wars. She will use every tool America has to preserve our standing in the world and forge coalitions to address global problems like the dire threat of climate change. She’ll project American strength abroad by cultivating a strong military but also by utilizing the economic power we have and the dedication and expertise of our nation’s diplomats in the Foreign Service and USAID.
Finally, it’s time we recognize a woman’s place is in the White House. Hillary Clinton is not just any woman but the right woman to lead our country in facing the challenges ahead. She reminds me so much of the women in my life like my grandmother. My grandmother is a woman who is tough but tender. She’s a woman who has fought unimaginable challenges in life to make mine better. I see those qualities in Hillary Clinton too. She is the grandmother everyone needs and she is the president this country deserves. That’s why I’m with her

In South Carolina, will Clinton’s expected victory shift momentum?

In South Carolina, will Clinton’s expected victory shift momentum?
The Democratic presidential contest moves to South Carolina on Saturday, a primary that serves as two starkly different milestones for Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sander
Hillary Clinton is looking to her expected victory here to prove her strong support among African American voters — and to cement her status as the presumptive front-runner heading toward Super Tuesday three days later, when six of 11 Democratic contests will take place in Southern states with large populations of black voters.

Hillary Clinton began a barnstorming tour of South Carolina on Tuesday. She and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, crisscrossed the state on separate itineraries, hitting a total of about a dozen events over three days, speaking to predominantly African American audiences of a few hundred in cities and small towns. Each drew on decades of experience with the powerful church- and civic-based black voting turnout machine.
The nature of the events and the supporters who attended them illustrated how hard it will be for Sanders from Vermont to break a bond with black voters forged first by Bill Clinton.
“Hillary has done a lot for us, and her husband has done a lot for us,” Marshall said. During her tour, Clinton billed herself as a unifier who would address the problems of South Carolina’s impoverished and undereducated. She name-checked local issues, trashed the Republican governor and wrapped her arms around locally prominent African American leaders.
A black pastor welcomed her to his church. A black woman in braids warmed up the crowd at an appearance to which Clinton arrived very late. The black mayor of Columbia introduced her at an event Wednesday and starred in an evocative television advertisement for Clinton, done in the form of a letter to his young daughters.

Whom you want to elect – Tolerance or Hate ?

Whom you want to elect – Tolerance or Hate ?

Torture doesn't work. It's wrong. These dangerous words from Republicans have no place in our country- Comments by Hillary Clinton on Trump Speech.

===================

Donald Trump hails torture, mass killings with ‘pigs’ blood’ ammo in SC

Donald Trump closed his South Carolina campaign on Friday with a rambling speech highlighted by a giddy, almost childlike, enthusiasm for torturing and summarily executing the suspected enemies of America in the name of safety
Trump was in free-association mode dwelling on one topic, like heroin in New Hampshire or Japan’s monetary policy, and then jumping to another.
. Trump repeated – favourably – an apparent myth about how General John Pershing summarily executed dozens of Muslim prisoners in the Philippines with tainted ammunition during a guerrilla war against the occupying United States.

“He took fifty bullets, and he dipped them in pig’s blood,” Trump said. “And he had his men load his rifles and he lined up the fifty people, and they shot 49 of those people. And the fiftieth person he said ‘You go back to your people and you tell them what happened.’ And for 25 years there wasn’t a problem, okay?”
The moral of the tale, according to Trump: “We better start getting tough and we better start getting vigilant, and we better start using our heads or we’re not goanna have a country, folks.”
“Is it torture or not? It’s so borderline,” he said. “It’s like minimal, minimal, minimal torture.”

He tied the San Bernardino shooting into an argument over gun rights, saying the body count could have been minimized if the office workers who were murdered had been armed.
“If there were guns on the other side pointed at the other direction so the bullets are flying both ways you, wouldn’t have had that happen,” he said.
Trump’s speech was a hit with the audience, which cheered throughout.

Don’t Let Congress Run Out the Clock on 13.5 Million Workers

Don’t Let Congress Run Out the Clock on 13.5 Million Workers

This summer, the Department of Labor (DOL) is expected to implement a new overtime rule, which would raise the overtime salary threshold from $23,660 to $50,440, strengthening the right of 13.5 million additional workers to receive overtime pay and the right to earn a fair living.

Unfortunately, our opponents in Congress are eager to steal this victory from workers by running out the clock on one of President Obama’s signature economic achievements. The Congressional Review Act dictates that all “major” rules are delayed for 60 legislative days after they are submitted to Congress and are subject to a “fast track” process for repeal. That process has to end before President Obama leaves office to guarantee a veto of any Congressional resolution of disapproval.

If the DOL does not act soon, Congress will reverse this critical protection for millions of workers.

let us elect Mrs Hillary Clinton to stop this .

As a Mother , I’m beyond disappointed

As a Mother , I’m beyond disappointed

Seeing the number of Americans who supported Donald Trump last night is shocking.

I’m a mother.

I don’t want our daughters growing up in an America that embraces Donald Trump’s sexism.

I don’t want our daughters to have a President who calls women “ugly” and repeatedly attacks female journalists and leaders.

As our daughters grow into young women, I can’t imagine explaining why their President treats women differently than men.

We cannot expect girls to grow up believing in themselves with someone like Trump as the President of our country. That’s why we all need to join together today and denounce him. Will you add your name to our petition and denounce his sexism?

Now more than ever, Democrats must take a strong stance against sexism.

We must rebuke candidates who talk down to, dismiss, and mock women simply because they can.

We should be building a nation where both genders feel empowered and heard. Where women and girls are respected and recognized as capable and equals. That is the progressive America we deserve.

If Americans join together right now to denounce Donald Trump, I know that we will defeat him. But it’s going to take all of us working together.
That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Thank you for your support,

Kelly Ward
DCCC Executive Director

Hence , it is time to elect Mrs Hillary Clinton as the next U.S.A's President

Can you join me in denouncing Trump’s racism?

Can you join me in denouncing Trump’s racism?

I am a Muslim American.

A few months ago, Donald Trump announced his intention to ban Muslims from entering the United States.

Following Trump's historic win in the Republican New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, his intention to ban Muslims also took a step closer to reality.

Trump's prejudice is representative of a dangerous sentiment in the Republican Party, echoed by other Presidential candidates and adopted by party rank and file. It's a sentiment filled with hate, anger and racism.

I am the son of Indian immigrants. Hardworking parents that came to this country for a better life. Through their hard work, they provided me opportunities that they only dreamed of.

This is the promise of America, and this is the promise we must keep alive for future generations of all faiths.

Can you join me in denouncing Trump’s racism?

We are a country of different faiths, bound by a belief that our differences only make us stronger -- and that together, we can build a better America.

I'm asking you for your help, not as a Muslim -- but as a son, a husband, and as an American.

Let’s denounce Trump, together.

Thank you,

Mansoor Khadir
DCCC Northeast Field Director

Hence , there is an immediate need to denounce Trump and to elect Mrs. Hillary Clinton as the Next U.S President

HUMA ABEDIN, THE WOMAN BEHIND MRS. HILLARY CLINTON SUCCESS

HUMA ABEDIN, THE WOMAN BEHIND MRS. HILLARY CLINTON SUCCESS

Huma Abedin, aged 39, is the longest ever –serving aide of Mrs. Hillary Clinton can be said to be the loyal shadow of Mrs. Hillary Clinton who is serving as her personal assistant for long period and she is now turning up a mighty campaign power center for Mrs. Hillary Clinton.

Abedin, started her career as in intern at her age 19 when Mrs. Hillary was the First Lady in the White House.  Her long association with Hillary demonstrates her loyalty, sincerity and devotion to her work.

When Mrs. Hillary Clinton flew from Boston to Washington in April 2016 in First Class, It was Abedin who accompanied Mrs. Clinton. In the front page photo Glamour magazine where Clinton appeared to promote her biography book “Hard Choices”, Abedin can be seen in the background of Mrs. Clinton.

Now, for the Presidential 2016 campaign, Abedin occupies a pivotal role for her boss and is now running the role of an independent surrogate for Mrs. Hillary Clinton. For example, in recent Mrs. Hillary’s tour to South Carolina, Abedin has participated two private meetings with South Carolina state legislators on behalf of her boss Mrs. Hillary.

Abedin met New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and had one-to-one meeting with him for 45 minutes as Hillary Clinton arrival for a meeting with him was delayed due to traffic.

The above incidents demonstrate the transformative shift for Abedin to President 2016 campaign power centre from that of loyal assistant.
Now, Abedin is being considered as number 3 on the Hillary’s electoral campaign trailing behind John Podesta, Campaign Chairman and Robby Mook, campaign manager for Mrs. Hillary.

Long-time Mrs Hillary’s aides like Maggie Williams, Cherry Mills and Philippe Reins are no more active now and they are not acting as part of the Mrs. Hillary’s  current’ campaign inner circle. Abedin is now elevated as the most senior member of Mrs. Hillary Clinton’s old guard. Now, Abedin is being regarded as strong, trusted, female adviser to Mrs. Hillary Clinton.

Phil Gordon, erstwhile Assistant Secretary of State commented Abedin as a family member as she worked with him at the state department.  Mrs Hillary Clinton has witnessed Abedin’s growth for the last two decades as two of them have of course spent more time with each other than with their family members.

In the volley of Mrs Hillary’s emails released by the State Department recently, Abedin’s omnipresent role arranging Mrs. Clinton’s life was obviously exposed – many top leaders like erstwhile Vice-President Al Gore, the late diplomat Richard Holbrooke, her husband Bill Clinton, and Sen. Chuck Schumer all first contacted Abedin to reach Mrs. Hillary Clinton.

As a personal assistant to Mrs. Hillary Clinton, Abedin looked after many necessities of Mrs Hillary such as scheduling Mrs. Hillary’s medial and hair appointments, well-known about Mrs Hillary Clinton’s physical therapy instructions, updating Mrs. Hillary about her daily briefing and enjoyed full access to Mrs. Hillary both at work and at home.

In one of the e-mails, Mrs. Hillary Clinton wrote to Abedin,” just knock at my bedroom if it is locked” especially when she was taking rest at home.

Abedin is not hesitant to air her views on foreign policy.  Abedin wrote to Mrs Hillary in 2009 after King Abdullah of Jordan named Prince Hussein, as the Crown Prince stating that “I personally believe this demonstrates confidence in King Abdullah’s confidence in his position thereby not worrying about an outcry from his father’s loyalists.

As per Tom Nides, a deputy secretary of state under Hillary Clinton reign, Abedin remains as a trusted advisor, she could have earned a lot of money if she has left Mrs Hillary but strongly believes in Hillary Clinton. In this backdrop, Abedin’s influence attained a peak in 2016 campaign for Mrs. Hillary.
