State Department Asked Hillary Clinton Attorney to Delete Copies of Classified Benghazi Email

State Department Asked Hillary Clinton Attorney to Delete Copies of Classified Benghazi Email

An email captured in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit demonstrates that the State Department asked Hillary Clinton’s attorney to delete copies of a classified email related to the 2012 Benghazi terror attacks.

Judicial Watch reported that Patrick Kennedy, the undersecretary for management at the State Department, penned a letter to Clinton attorney David Kendall in May recommending he delete all electronic copies of the “secret” email.

Kennedy wrote:

I am writing in reference to the following e-mail that is among the approximately 55,000 pages that were identified as potential federal records and produced on behalf of former Secretary Clinton to the [Department] of State on December 5, 2014: E-mail forwarded by Jacob Sullivan to Secretary Clinton on November 18, 2012 at 8:44 pm.

(Subject: Fw: FYI- Report of arrests–possible Benghazi connection).

Please be advised that today the above referenced e-mail, which previously was unclassified, has been classified as “Secret” pursuant to Section 1.7(d) of Executive Order 13526 in connection with a review and release under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). In order to safeguard and protect the classified information, I ask–consistent with my letter to you dated March 23 2015–that you, Secretary Clinton and others assisting her in responding to congressional and related inquiries coordinate in taking the steps set forth below. A copy of the document as redacted under the FOIA is attached to assist you in your search.

Once you have made the electronic copy of the documents for the Department, please locate any electronic copies of the above-referenced classified document in your possession. If you locate any electronic copies, please delete them. Additionally, once you have done that, please empty your “Deleted Items” folder.

The letter demonstrates that the State Department recognized the presence of classified material on Clinton’s personal email system months before it was disclosed in the media.

Kendall declined to immediately follow Kennedy’s orders, writing back in June that it would not be “prudent” to delete copies of the email until after document preservation requests from the House Select Committee on Benghazi, the State Department inspector general, and the intelligence community inspector general expire.

Kendall was in possession of three computer thumb drives containing all of Clinton’s work-related emails until the FBI determined that he could not continue to hold emails containing classified information. The attorney was forced to hand over the drives to the Justice Department at the same time Clinton relinquished her server.

Multiple intelligence agencies have confirmed that at least two of the emails contained on the former secretary of state’s personal system held top secret information at the time they were sent. Hundreds more have been flagged for possibly containing classified information.

Clinton has repeatedly denied sending or receiving information marked classified on her personal email.

The American Media Has Conveniently Forgotten The George W. Bush Email Scandal During April 2007

The American Media Has Conveniently Forgotten The George W. Bush Email Scandal During April 2007

Eric Boehlert, Media Matters reported that responding to congressional demands for emails in connection with its investigation into the partisan firing of eight U.S. attorneys, the White House announced on April 12, 2007  that as many as five million emails, covering a two-year span, had been lost during Mr. Bush’s Presidency.

The emails had been run through private accounts controlled by the Republican National Committee and were only supposed to be used for dealing with non-administration political campaign work to avoid violating ethics laws.

Yet congressional investigators already had evidence private emails had been used for government business, including to discuss the firing of one of the U.S. attorneys. The RNC accounts were used by 22 White House staffers, including then-Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, who reportedly used his RNC email for 95 percent of his communications.

As the Washington Post reported, “Under federal law, the White House is required to maintain records, including e-mails, involving presidential decision- making and deliberations.” But suddenly millions of the private RNC emails had gone missing; these emails that were seen as potentially crucial evidence by Congressional investigators.

By comparison, not only did every network Sunday news show this week cover the story about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton emails, but they were drowning in commentary. Between Meet the Press, Face The Nation, This Week, and Fox News Sunday, Clinton’s “email” or “emails” were referenced more than 100 times on the programs, according to Nexis transcripts.

What has become clear over the last eight days (during March 2015) however is that the Clinton email story isn’t about lawbreaking. “Experts have said it doesn’t appear Clinton violated federal laws,” CNN conceded.

The National Law Journal agreed, noting that while the Clinton’s e-mail story has created a political furore, “any legal consequences are likely to prove negligible.”

Instead, the millions of missing Bush White House emails were treated as a 24-hour or 48-hour story. It was a subject that was dutifully noted, and then the media pack quickly moved on.

There’s been no such Post inclination as given to Mr. George W Bush to give Clinton any sort of benefit of the doubt regarding email use as the American newspaper piled up endless attacks on her.

To sum-up , In 2007, the story was about millions of missing White House emails that were sought in connection to a Congressional investigation. Yet somehow the archiving of Clinton’s emails today were given exponentially more coverage, and exceedingly more critical coverage by the American Press.

JEB BUSH Wishes to “Figure out A Way to Phase out “Medicare

JEB BUSH Wishes to “Figure out A Way to Phase out “Medicare

The phase-out brigade is back – Earlier, George W Bush who wanted to phase-out Social security in USA. Now, it is Jeb Bush wants to phase-out Medicare.

The erstwhile Florida governor opined recently on the future of Medicare, a program he said, “We need to figure out a way to phase out the Medicare program”

While speaking at American for Prosperity event in New Hampshire , where he displayed a TV AD in which a “Paul Ryan – look – a- like “ was ejecting an old man off the cliff in a wheelchair. The TV ad’s main objective is to knock Ryan’s Medicare – associated budget proposals.
Jeb Bush informed that we need to be vigilant and persuade the people to understand this. They aware and I think a lot of people recognize that we need to make sure that we fulfill the commitment to the people that have already received the benefits that are receiving the benefits.  But, that we need to figure out a way to phase-out the Medicare for others and move to a new system that allows them to have something – because they are not going to have anything.

It is to be noted that Medicare is the Federal health insurance program for those over the age of 65. It also covers those below the age of 65 who have permanent disabilities.

If Medicare is phased out as suggested by Mr.  Jeb Bush, about 49,435,610 beneficiaries of Medicare will be in trouble in USA. (2012 figure - http://kff.org/medicare/state-indicator/total-medicare-beneficiaries/)

Mrs Hillary Clinton is the ardent supporter of Medicare.  As per New York Time, Feb 13, 2001 , Mrs Hillary Clinton voted “Yes” on overriding veto on expansion of Medicare by George W Bush.President Bush vetoed a bill that would make vital improvements to the Medicare program that has helped ensure that millions of seniors and the disabled can get the care they need.(George W Bush recommended a " No" on the Bill.)

The following should be taken into account to know Mrs. Hillary Clinton views on health care.

  • ·         Ms. Clinton supports the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

  • ·        Ms. Clinton has also said she is open to fixing the PPACA

  • ·         Ms. Clinton has long been a proponent of universal healthcare

  • ·          As a Democratic hopeful in the 2008 presidential race, Ms. Clinton also ran on a new and improved universal health plan, called the American Health Choices Plan

  • ·         Ms. Clinton is a long-time supporter of children's health initiatives.

  • ·         She also has been a proponent of women's reproductive rights

  • ·         While serving in the Senate, she advocated for healthcare for workers at Ground Zero and military reservists

  • ·         She has supported requiring an EHR for federal healthcare programs, including Medicare, Medicaid and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

  • ·        She is pro-vaccines.

No doubt , Ms Clinton will be taking more steps to expand the health care facilities to ordinary Americans including Medicare , Medicaid and Affordable care to all Americans if she  is elected as 45th President of USA.
